Today I want to talk about enjoying life. Now you’ll always need to follow a certain road trail to get to your destination. Ecclesiastes 5:18 says “that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun”. Enjoy yourselves, but make sure you enjoy God more.
Today I’m thinking about our past. You know our past is in the past. But why does it follow us into the present. So many people have trouble moving on.
Took a motorcycle ride just to see some of the countryside I am priviledged to live. Just makes me thank the Lord God. I’m reminded that God is the one who made this, and I was made for a purpose. God came down in human skin and walked among us. He saved me from eternal hell and it cost his blood. I live by His death.
In the distance my naked eye can see what you can’t. Another osprey nest. Mama sitting on the nest with babies in there. I’m quite far out. Pretty soon she’ll catch hold of me and catch sight of me. And she will fly from that nest, and she will distract me from where her babies are.
I am glad to have a heavenly father like that as well. God is good isn’t he. Psalm ninety one says that he who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty.
I am thinking about a person who is not in a relationship and who is struggling with loneliness. And, if you are in a relationship, I invite you to listen on because it will add to your insight as well. Many people describe loneliness as something really bad, but those that think this miss the most basic point about loneliness.
As you can see, there are many roads out here. As I am hiking along I am trying to decipher which is the way it runs sometimes. But when I am hiking these power lines I know which way is the right road. In the Christian life it is the same way. If you don’t stray from the power source you will stay on right path.
Psalm 103:2 – Praise the Lord all my soul, and forget not all his benefits.
